PATRON COMMENTS AND TESTIMONIALS
My husband and I drove to Manzanita on this glorious sunny Mother's
Day afternoon and stumbled upon the Terra Cotta Cafe. They were
indeed a bit befuddled when we walked in, but the server regained
his composure and showed us to a table. He recited a long list of
menu items and sold us on a fine bottle of pino gris from Dundee,
Oregon. We started with the stuffed mushrooms. They were perfectly
done, not over-cooked and filled with creamy crab. I had the Waldorf
salad and it was just like my mama's, served on a leaf of lettuce
and on a decorative glass plate. My dinner was grilled skewered
scallops on creamy polenta. It was divine, but not a big helping, so
my husband took pity on me and shared his huge juicy perfectly done
pork chop. For dessert I had a little peach pie warmed with vanilla
ice cream. The pie was amazing and was made in the pie shop next
door. Everything about this little restaurant is homey and
exquisite. Even the restroom was immaculate and tidy and decorated
in perfect, unstated good taste. I can't wait to come back and try
the steaks here.
Perhaps the server and hostess were a bit "hovering" but the
restaurant is small and cozy and well, you are all nose to nose. We
arrived just after 5 pm and it filled soon after 5:30. This is truly
a little gem, on a long coastline of very tired and mediocre
restaurants. Sue W., Portland

"We have such a lovely time at Terra Cotta Cafe
plus, Sandy and Harvey have become dear friends."The Coverts, Manzanita
The service was outstanding -- everyone who served us in any
capacity at the table was super friendly and accommodating. The food
is as fresh as can be, everything is made to order just for you. The
alfredo is out of this world. Good menu variety and EXCELLENT food,
great tasting and well prepared. Conveniently located from several
popular beach towns. I cannot imagine why anyone gave it less than
at least 4 stars, unless they were blinded by The Pink -- it REALLY
does need to be redecorated BADLY. I will definitely share this good
review on other sites, and will definitely return! Katie G.,
